Description Jesse Jackson's campaign speach during his second Presidential Run in 1988.

Creating the geniuses of all black expos from Operation Bread Basket located in Chicago, Illinois, Jesse Jackson's connections with Indiana Black Expo were formed since its conception in 1971. Jackson's campaign, the Rainbow Coalition, knew Black Expo would offer a large platform for his drive through Indiana. His 1984 run was one of the strongest and well organized efforts for the presidential bid by any preceding African American. His campaign received 21% of the votes but only 8% of the electorate causing him to come in third to Hart and Mondale in the primaries. Jackson went on to run again in 1988 and drew in a large democratic support running a close second in the Democratic Primaries to Michael Dukakis. Both of Jackson's campaigns centered on getting African American interests represented on the presidential platform.
