Read, Think & Speak Initiative
The data from the second edition of Indiana Black Expo, Inc.'s (IBE) State of Our Black Youth Report revealed that African American 18-year-olds in Indiana with high school diplomas was at a staggering 53.2 percent. IBE is committed to serving as a "voice" and "vehicle" to help decrease student drop out rates and increase high school graduation rates.
IBE's Read, Think & Speak Initiative is one of the many efforts of the organization to help close the academic achievement gap for minority, educationally-disadvantaged and impoverished youth in grades K-12.
