You can purchase an Indiana Black Expo, Inc. (IBE) license plate at your local Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) license branch. All it takes is a $25 tax-deductible contribution to IBE, plus your regular registration fees.
Your contribution supports our year-round youth and family programs. These programs feed the hungry, help students go to college, and support health initiatives throughout Indiana. Purchasing an Indiana Black Expo license plate is a great way to give back to your community. It's easy and simple; you can even order your license plate conveniently online at www.in.gov/bmv.

The IBE personalized license plate allows you to show your individuality while traveling the Hoosier highways. The cost for reserving a personalized license plate is $48 annually, payable at the license branch, in addition to the normal registration fees. Applying for your IBE personalized plate is easy to do! You can apply at your local license branch by completing the proper application. After your initial IBE personalized plate purchase, you must reserve your plate yearly by mail. IBE personalized plates are available for:
Indiana Statue IC-18-2-47 states all personalized plates are no longer on a continuous 5-year cycle and must be reserved annually. In order to keep your personalized plate, you must re-reserve it yearly by mail or by visiting your local license branch. Reservations must be made by October 31 of the year before the plate is to be issued. If you currently have a personalized license plate and do not reserve your plate for the upcoming year by the October 31 deadline, your plate will become available to the public. Unreserved personalized plates secured by new users will not be available until the following calendar year.
